1st Annual Brad Wilcox Memorial Dart Tournament
Proceeds to benefit Colten Wilcox
Saturday, December 2, 2006
Murphysboro Elks Lodge, 1809 Shomaker Drive, Murphysboro, Illinois
Sign up is from 3pm - 4pm and the tournament will begin at 4:30pm
$10.00 entry fee
$500.00 payout (minimum 40 players)
There will be door prizes, silent auction, 50/50 drawing, a no run poker run, and tip boards.

Scorpion Electronic Style dart board to be given away that night!
Raffle tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.

In Memory of: Miss Christina Aiassi, a Murphy education icon from days gone by

I just want to share with everyone the passing of an educational icon from the Murphysboro schools, Miss Christina Aiassi, has passed away today. She was a good friend of my husband's through her great-niece. She will be missed greatly! I don't have many details of the funeral arangements, except that visitation and details are being handled by Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro. At present, visitation will be on Tuesday evening, January 10, 2005, and the funeral on Wednesday, Juanuary 11, 2005 in the afternoon. I am sure the obitiuary will be in the Southern Illinoisian newspaper. I will try to post back before to share any more information I have.

The reunion committee has been hard at work trying to locate everyone and get the details of the reunion completed. The plans are as follows:
Friday, September 3, 2004: Mississippi Flyway - 8:00pm
Murdale Shopping Center, Carbondale - This will be our "casual" night of just getting reacquainted with everyone.
Saturday, September 4, 2004: 17th Street Warehouse:
6:00pm Cocktails
7:00pm Dinner
8:00-12:00 DJ & Dance
32 N. 17th Street, Murphysboro
Cost: $25.00 per person
Dinner will include 17th Street ribs, chicken, baked beans, salad, rolls, iced tea/coffee. There will also be a cash bar.
Sunday, September 5, 2004: Evergreen Park - 12:00pm Picnic Lunch
Carbondale (Park prohibits alcoholic berverages)
Cost: $5.00 per adult and $2.00 per child (12 & under)
We have had a lot of requests for a "picnic" on Sunday so everyone can meet the kids. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, dessert, plates, napkins and utensils will be provided. We have even recruited two of our very own cooks, Jay Ziegler and Kevin Edwards (just a little bribery needed).
