According to a brief paragraph that appeared in the Southern, it was apparently heart related...most likely a heart attack. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Ritchie! Morgan, Ritchie MURPHYSBORO - SFC Ritchie A. Morgan, 41, of Fort Drum, N.Y., formerly of Murphysboro, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, in Fort Drum. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass, with the Rev. Sam White officiating. Burial will be in Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Walker Funeral Home in Carbondale is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Morgan was of the Baptist faith. He was born May 15, 1966, in Sparta, to Troy and Barbara Crowell Morgan. He married Chong Yim in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is survived by his wife of New York; mother, Barbara Morgan of Alto Pass; father, Troy Morgan of Alto Pass; grandmother, Marie Crowell of Alto Pass; and one step-son, J.R. Cureton of North Carolina.
